Michael Honoré

Michael er en af Europas førende eksperter inden for statsstøtteret.

Michael betragtes som en af de førende advokater inden for statsstøtteretten i Europa.

Michael er specialiseret i konkurrenceret, statsstøtteret og generel EU-ret (ret om fri bevægelighed, EU-procesret osv.). Michael rådgiver også om generel aftaleret. Michael har stor sagserfaring og behandler regelmæssigt sager ved de danske domstole og ved Den Europæiske Unions Domstol. Michael har møderet for Højesteret.

International uddannelse og baggrund

Udover en kandidatgrad fra Københavns Universitet har Michael en LL.M. grad fra College of Europe i Brugge. Michael har også fået et diplom som erhvervskorrespondent i fransk fra Copenhagen Business School og har taget en 2-årig uddannelse i Executive Coaching.

Michael har arbejdet som advokat i Bech-Bruun fra 2005 til 2019, siden 2012 som partner i afdelingen for EU- og konkurrenceret. Før dette arbejdede Michael som référendaire ved Den Europæiske Unions Domstol i Luxembourg (2002-2005) og som junior associeret med advokatfirmaerne Liedekerke og Ashurst i Bruxelles (2001-2002).

Indsigt i en række sektorer

Michael har rådgivet inden for mange brancher og brancher, men har gennem årene arbejdet særligt omfattende inden for områderne fødevare- og landbrug, infrastruktur (transport, energi, it og telekommunikation, betalingstjenester) og F&I (forskning, udvikling og innovation). Michael har også repræsenteret klienter i en række EU- og statsstøtteretlige sager vedrørende skatter og afgifter.

Omfattende akademisk aktivitet

Michael har gennem en årrække undervist i konkurrenceret, statsstøtteret, EU-procesret (“ EU-ret i praksis“) og god advokatskik på blandt andet Københavns Universitet og Advokatsamfundet.

Michael er en produktiv forfatter inden for statsstøtteretten og taler regelmæssigt på internationale konferencer. Michael er også medstifter og næstformand for Danskforeningforstatsstoetteret.dk og akademisk direktør for Lexxion (lexxion.de), hvor han også har været administrerende redaktør for det førende statsstøtteretlige tidsskrift European State Aid Law Quarterly (estal.de).

I perioden 2002_2022 har Michael været international dommer ved verdens største EU-retskonkurrence, European Law Moot Court Competition (europeanlawmootcourt.eu).

Engagementer og medlemskaber i en række foreninger, netværk og virksomheder

Michael er bestyrelsesmedlem for Dansk Europamission (forfulgtekristne.dk) og næstformand i bestyrelsen for Statsstøtteretten.

Michael er medlem af Connect Denmark netværket (connectdenmark.com). Connect Denmark hjælper iværksættere og virksomheder med forretningsudvikling. Michael sidder også i en række rådgivende bestyrelser og yder regelmæssigt pro bono-rådgivning for at påvirke nystartede virksomheder.

Sprog

Michael rådgiver på dansk, engelsk og fransk. Michael er også glad for at kommunikere på italiensk, tysk, svensk og norsk.
